Publication of Circular and Notice of General Meeting

African Mining and Exploration plc (AIM: AME), announces that it has today published a Circular and notice of General Meeting regarding proposed authorities to issue new Ordinary Shares, Options and Warrants over Ordinary Shares, disapplication of pre-emption rights and  to change the Company's name to Savannah Resources plc. The General Meeting will be held at 12:30pm on 24 September 2013 at the offices of Arlington Group, 2nd Floor, 18 Pall Mall, SW1Y 5LU.

The Circular and Notice of General Meeting will shortly be available to view on the Company's website www.ameplc.co.uk.

Defined terms used in this announcement shall, unless the context otherwise requires, have the same meanings set out in the Circular.
